چکیده

Abstract Thermochemical heat storage is one of the most attractive technologies to store from solar thermal energy or waste industrial processes for its high density and long-term capability. This research presents a novel expanded graphite/alginate polymer matrix encapsulated with hydrated salts as highly efficient thermochemical materials. Through simple synthesis method, composite material can be sized shaped fit multiple applications, easily scaled where needed. reversible hydration dehydration reaction, incorporated CaCl 2 salt release heat. Thermal generators low grade sources (< 200 °C) appropriate . A loading value 84% has been achieved visible porosity maintained. Static used study charge whereas flow humid air through packed bed discharge reaction temperature uplifts between 10–14 °C were observed. vermiculite/CaCl comparison in both reactions. Additionally, bulk density, surface porosity, area, moisture sorption conductivity are considered. The results show that materials developed this achieve better packing comparable comparing conventional composite, but higher leading enhanced efficiency. Graphical

The thermal response of heat storage system with paraffin and paraffin/expanded graphite composite for hot water supply

The low thermal conductivity of phase change material (PCM) leads to low heat storage/retrieval rates. The expanded graphite (EG) was used to enhance the thermal conductivity. EG/paraffin composite with the 7% mass fraction of EG was prepared as a good candidate for the latent thermal energy storage (LTES) system. A shell and tube LTES system built for room heating and hot water supply in a fam...

Thermochemical Characterizations of Novel Vermiculite-LiCl Composite Sorbents for Low-Temperature Heat Storage

To store low-temperature heat below 100 ◦C, novel composite sorbents were developed by impregnating LiCl into expanded vermiculite (EVM) in this study. Five kinds of composite sorbents were prepared using different salt concentrations, and the optimal sorbent for application was selected by comparing both the sorption characteristics and energy storage density. Textural properties of composite ...
